W imieniu Laboratorium Judaica zapraszamy na muzyczne wydarzenie do synagogi Pod Białym Bocianem:

odsłonięcie procesu pracy nad fragmentami
Piątek, 15. września 14:00-15:00
Synagoga Pod Białym Bocianem, Włodkowica 5a
Come join an international team of song-researchers for an extended vocal exploration of Jewish songs and song fragments from all around the world. Moving between pure melodies and rhythms and the sounds of Hebrew, Yiddish, Ladino, Turkish, Luganda and other languages, this unique musical event combines the power of song and the dynamic presence of bodies with urgent questions about contemporary identity and difference.
Based at the University of Huddersfield in northern England, the Judaica laboratory team is Ben Spatz, UK/US; Nazlıhan Eda Erçin, UK/Turkey; Agnieszka Mendel, UK/Poland. In September and October 2017, after four months of focused research, the team is traveling to multiple cities in Poland, the United Kingdom, and the United States to present their work. The Judaica project is supported by a research leadership award from the UK Arts and Humanities Research Council.
