I dance between deggers – the voice of Jewish women
Poetry and songs in the mikvah

An extraordinary chance to get to know the women’s Yiddish poetry. For the first time in Wrocław, the poetry will be presented in both the original Yiddish and in Polish. The performance will take place in the intimate space of the ritual bath under the White Stork Synagogue and will feature an unusual mix of poetry and music.

Performers:
Sylwia Najah, an actress of the Jewish Theatre in Warsaw, Joanna Lisek PhD, author of the monograph “Kol ishe – The Voice of Women in Yiddish Poetry from the Sixteenth Century to 1939” and co-editor of the anthology of female Yiddish poets “My Wild Goat”, Bente Kahan, singer and actress, Jan Skopowski, a cellist of the National Forum of Music in Wrocław.
